8 · Inkjet print helper (manual duplex)

For inkjets without auto-duplex. Splits the PDF into front-sheet and back-sheet halves, and tells you exactly how to flip the stack.

Print and fold

Open the PDF. Print duplex (both sides). If your printer can't auto-duplex, print odd pages, flip the stack, print even pages.
Choose flip on short edge. If back pages come out upside-down, switch to long edge.
Print at 100% scale. No auto-fit.
Stack the sheets in order, fold in half along the spine, staple twice along the fold.
Trim the open edge for a clean finish.

Test with a 4-page zine first to dial in duplex direction.
